We’re elevating movie night so that it actually feels like a date instead of a typical Friday. Regular movie night can turn into a fun, cozy date night right at home. It’s super simple—pick a movie, add a themed dessert and drink, and you’ve got a perfect night in.

Eric and I are challenging ourselves to create a cozy at home movie night date every week this month and I am so excited to share this series with you.

Here is our basic formula: movie + drink + dessert

The trick is to make the snacks themed for the movie and set the mood. So if you’re watching The Godfather your eating cannolis and drinking chianti. Get creative with the theme and match the treats to the film! And then set the mood. Dim the lights. Light a candle or two. Put some cute comfies on and grab a blanket to share. The ambience matters.
