This recipe has been in my family for years, yet somehow, we always forget to make it. It’s a vintage classic—moist, citrusy, and topped with the most delicious boozy glaze. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint for our at-home date night.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, vanilla pudding, eggs, butter, vodka, Galliano, and orange juice. Mix until well combined.
Pour batter into a greased bundt pan.
Bake for 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Glaze
In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, vodka, Galliano, and orange juice until smooth.
Slowly pour the glaze over the cooled cake, allowing it to soak in.
Let the cake sit for a few minutes before serving to allow the glaze to fully absorb.
Notes
Galliano is a unique ingredient, fairly expensive, and not very versatile. It is a spiced vanilla liquor, you can use Tuaca or any vanilla vodka that you can buy in a small shooter form (50 ml) since you don't need much.
