For Fall Break we decided to have a Harry Potter Marathon. Harry Potter is such a nostalgic part of mine and Eric’s childhood, we were excited to share it with the kids. The marathon was so fun and it was a such a simple and inexpensive way to make Fall break feel memorable.
Harry Potter Movie Marathon Week–
Decor: We started by setting the vibes with candles, floating candles, House banners, and platform 9 ¾.
Platform 9 ¾ fell after a few hours so that is one thing I would say you can skip, but the candles & house banners really set the mood every night when it gets dark and you’re watching the movie by candle light. So cool!

Harry Potter Food
Each night we did a different themed food to go with the movie.
Trolley Cart: Definitely the most exciting one. Chocolate Frogs, Bertie Bott’s Beans, gummy slugs, and Pop Daddy Kettle Corn
Butterbeer & Rice Krispie Treats: Butterbeer is so sweet. None of us could finish one, so I recommend sharing. I have a homemade recipe but this time we did store bought.

Roasted Chicken & Womping Willow Bread: Their feasts always include chicken and the womping willow bread is so simple. I used a canned pizza dough and cut the top into strips that I twisted to form branches. Brush with garlic butter and bake according to the package.
Sorting Hat Waffles: I found a waffle maker with a witches hat and it was perfect

Pizza: I saw an idea to make House Pizzas. We didn’t try this because we like our usuals. You can find my pizza dough recipe here.
- Gryffindor (red & gold): Marinara, mozzarella, roasted red peppers, and pepperoni.
- Ravenclaw (blue & bronze): Caramelized onions, mushrooms, and a drizzle of balsamic
- Hufflepuff (yellow & black): Alfredo sauce, cheddar, corn, and black olives.
- Slytherin (green & silver): Pesto base, mozzarella, spinach, and roasted garlic.
Apples with Caramel & Chocolate Dips: MY FAVORITE! Seriously the best treat. I made a mini version of the caramel apple bar that I shared here.
Golden Snitches Truffles: White Chocolate truffles glued to little golden snitches! So yummy and so easy.
