About a year ago I text one of my girlfriends for her pizza dough recipe because we were wanting to swap to more homemade foods. I figured today it was finally time to share it with you too and I know you will love it.
- 2 oz sugar
- 2 TBS olive oil
- 12 oz warm water
- 1 lb 6.5 oz bread flour
- 1 packet active dry yeast (NOT rapid rise)
- 1/4 oz salt
Combine all ingredients in the bowl of a stand mixer.
Using the paddle attachment, mix until ingredients are fully incorporated.
Switch to the dough hook and knead on low speed for up to 10 minutes, or until the dough is smooth and elastic.
Lightly grease a bowl, place the dough inside, and cover. Allow it to rise until doubled in size.
Divide the dough into four equal portions, shape into a ball, and let it rise again (about 30 minutes)
Sprinkle semolina flour on a cutting board and place a dough ball on top
Gently tap the dough ball down, then use your fingers to create a perimeter around the dough
Pick up the dough holding it by the perimeter you created and gently run the dough through your fingers in a circular motion. It should slowly start growing
You can use your knuckles to gently stretch out the center of the dough so that it thins out without breaking the dough
Top with your favorite sauce and toppings
Bake at 425°F for 10–12 minutes.
