I recently decided that I want bring back cocktail hour. We live in an age where we either go all out and create a Pinterest level affair or we put in zero effort and it is boxed dinners and doom scrolling.
But I want to live in the in between. Keep things casual, make a nice drink and fun little snack to nosh on while we spend time together talking about everything under the sun before family dinner.
I’m making it a thing at my house and I’m making it a series I’d love it if you joined me.
Here’s what we made for the first one:
Snack:
- Honey Goat Cheese from Trader Joes drizzled with more honey
- Fresh Cut Watermelon
- Simple Mills Crackers – Fine Ground Sea Salt
Drinks:
- Beer – Yingling
- Peach Clementine Margarita
- Ingredients:
- 1 oz tequila (Casamigos is my favorite)
- 1/2 oz contreau
- 1 lime juiced
- San Pellegrino Mineral Water – Peach Clementine Flavor
- Directions:
- pour the tequila, contreau, and lime in a shaker with ice.
- shake well
- pour the mix in a glass over ice
